About Beat 20: Netherbridge Court

1.5 km mixed single and double bank. This beat offers classic middle Tamar fishing near Launceston and is open in nature, set in a wide floodplain. The beat consists of 8 pools, numerous long glides and wide riffles suited to fly fishing for brown trout and grayling. An upstream dry fly will produce plenty of fish when a hatch is on, whilst a New Zealand style can be lethal here on quieter days. Euro-nymphing often produces the larger fish, the turbidity of the water compliments this method by allowing anglers to approach the deep scoured pools unseen. At the right time, Netherbridge Court will throw out some cracking peal and the occasional Salmon. A great all-rounder beat which offers something for everyone.
