A lovely section of the upper river providing fishing for wild brown trout within the Exmoor National Park. Both the parking and the beat itself are easily accessible. The Little Exe comprises a good mix of riffled runs, glides and deeper pools with plenty of diverse habitat to keep the trout happy. A stealthy approach is necessary to trick some larger residents, keeping low and moving slow is the key to getting within casting range. In river structures provide great habitat for hungry Exmoor trout and despite the risk of snagging, its worth chucking a nymph close to them.
