About Beat 13: Lane Barton

Temporarily closed due to COVID-19. This is a lovely and extensive trout beat with 1700m of mixed single and double bank. This part of the Torridge has an excellent mayfly hatch in early June although it is fairly heavily shaded in places so fishing from within the river and casting under the trees is essential to cover this beat effectively. With over a hundred good sized trout and a 16” peel on the returns, Lane Barton has consistanlty produced the goods.
