Important notice – Due to high water temperatures (exceeding 18c) and its impact on fish welfare, we’ve made the decision to temporarily close this Beat. We’ll be assessing conditions over the coming weeks and will open this Beat when safe to do so. Apologies for any inconvenience caused by this.
With 1000m single and double bank, this beat provides good brown trout fishing through some lovely little runs and deeper pools.T he beat holds good numbers of trout in the 8”-10” bracket. Another Torridge beat that did well last season with nearly 50 brown trout recorded. We will mention, the access to this beat is a little difficult this season, be vigilant of snags, your waders will thank you for it! Angling and Habitat improvement works are planned over this winter, we hope this will breath new life into this Beat for the 2021 season.
