About Beat 27: Knowle Farm

Temporarily closed due to COVID-19. Over 2.2km of Double bank, this is a lovely long stretch of classic brown trout water that may also produce the occasional grayling. It comprises a number of pools and deep runs that largely flow through open meadows. The River Lew contains a good head of brownies to 15” and it clears quickly after a spate. Good dry fly water suited to a shorter 6-8ft fly rod. Good numbers of fish can be expected on this beat, in the right conditions, anglers have been known to pull over 40 fish per session. *** PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU MUST VISIT THE ARUNDELL ARMS WHERE YOU WILL FIND THE FISH PASS QR CODE TO SCAN ***
