At over 2200m double bank, this is a lovely long stretch of classic brown trout water that may also produce the occasional grayling. It comprises a number of pools and deep runs that largely flow through open meadows. The River Lew contains a good head of brownies to 15” and it clears quickly after a spate. Good dry fly water suited to a shorter 7-8ft fly rod.
