Beat 28: Hayne Bridge

About Beat 28: Hayne Bridge

Approximately 800m of right hand single bank, with excellent brown trout fishing with a mixture of sweeping bends, large pools and faster, more challenging runs. The adjoining Milford beat is no longer available but we think we have retained the best section? Hayne Bridge is brushy in places offering good cover for fish but generally more open in character than Milford. It is mentioned in Mike Weaver’s book ‘The Pursuit of Wild Trout’ where the author landed 82 trout in five hours. The beat is best fished with 2-5wt, 7-8ft rods and waders are advised. It is an under fished beat with loads of potential; please give it a try. *** PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU MUST VISIT THE ARUNDELL ARMS WHERE YOU WILL FIND THE FISH PASS QR CODE TO SCAN ***
