1.6km of Brown trout and grayling fishing with occasional sea trout on the lower of the two Carey beats available. This beat is in a lovely wide valley with lots of water for several anglers. Like the other Carey beat it is best suited to a shorter fly rod 7-9ft, 2-4 wt. The 2020 season was productive with anglers landing trout to 12” and grayling to 13”, sea trout entered the beat in the summer with one being caught on a euro nymphing set up. This beat has benefited from habitat improvement works and fishery access creation/maintenance recently, with more improvements planned throughout the 2021 season.
