About Beat 43: Wampford Bridge

A short beat at 800m of single bank. Open for brown trout and Sea trout from March 15 till 30 September. The 2019 season saw anglers greeted with exceptional trout fishing, trout in size and numbers were recorded throughout the year with the best catch recorded in July. Anglers were pleased to observe a high number of trout fry in the shallows and frequent slow larger rising fish in the pools.

100% catch and release with single barbless flies for sea trout. 100% catch and release on brown trout. Brown trout and Sea trout season: 15th March - 30th September.
