500m of RHB on the River Fal. This section of the Fal is quite unique, in that most of the Beat has been previously straightened and altered to allow for infrastructure. In moderate to low waters, much of the river meanders within its stone walled channel, creating long riffles, glides and pools over the gravels and bedrock, during this time there is considerable opportunity for productive brown trout and day time sea trout fishing on the fly. Durring spate conditions, this section becomes difficult and hazardous to fish due to the nature of the contained channel, and unstable banks, so we strongly advise against fishing this beat in these conditions.
It is advised that anglers wade this Beat, as there is little opportunity to fish effectively from the high banks. The Beat has a public pathway spanning its entire length so access along the Beat is good with a few entry points into and out of the river, the easiest being at the very top and very bottom of the Beat.
